Mono Lake

August 19, 2012

Mono Lake is a classic eastern Sierra stop off.  It’s nothing but a large salty water-filled volcanic crater infested by flies and seagulls.  Well, it’s a bit more than that.  This isn’t the most picturesque part of the lake, but it’s what we had to work with that day. They have some wonderful salt pillars which rise out of the lake, and make for good sunset photography.

Soft fuzzy grassy stuff!

Accomplices.
