4th of July in Vanuatu

July 11, 2012

During our recent trip to Vanuatu, myself and the other American interns felt it was necessary to celebrate 4th of July somehow.  With a little encouragement from our pyromaniac Aussie friends whom we joined to help train a local church in EE, we purchased some last-minute fireworks and set them off across the street from our hotel after a stirring acapella rendition of The Star Spangled Banner.  A few minutes later we joined them in an Australian tradition: watching New South Wales get slaughtered by Queensland on the rugby pitch.

Singing the national anthem with the Aussies.

Edward from CELTA says hello to you. We were both teaching at the same time today.
